FEATURED PROJECTS – GARVEY NISSAN

Garvey Nissan, Rutland VT

This project involved the construction of a 15,000 square foot stormwater retention pond with outlet control structure, spillway, clay dam, and impervious berm.  Installation of 18 to 24-inch HDPE stormwater piping was performed with 4 manhole structures installed at varying depths from 6 to 14 feet below existing grade.  The site included the construction of a dry swale pond with a geomembrane liner, stone underdrain with perforated underdrain piping, and an outlet control structure. 

Development included the installation of an 84,000 square-foot commercial car dealership parking lot.  Construction of the parking lot was completed with stabilization fabric on native soil with stone underdrain, another layer of stabilization fabric, dense grade crushed gravel, and fine grade crushed gravel.  Frost wall excavation, foundation, and slab prep was performed for the 12,000 square foot retail car dealership building.  Infrastructure included installation of oil water separators, holding tanks, septic tank and pump station for wash and wastewater systems for the dealership, and the construction of a 150-foot on-site mound type wastewater disposal system (840 yards of mound sand). 

Masterson Excavation performed all electrical conduit excavation and setting light pole bases. The water service line was placed from a private well and Masterson Excavation performed all necessary testing.  All work was completed with our GPS aided equipment and rover field survey and layout gear.  The parking lot was surface modeled by Masterson Excavation and graded with GPS aided dozer to pavement subgrade.
